PROSPERITY, GOD’S IDEA: We have had a local pastor Moses Mukisa come and teach a mini-series on prosperity from God’s point of view. It has been a breath of fresh air; and the students have been getting it. Herein lies the blessing. He taught the other day on Luke 4:18 & 19 where Jesus said,
“The Spirit of the Lord was upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor;”
The poor don’t need money. They need the gospel, and the Word will take them out of poverty.

STUDENTS ARE LIKE POPCORN:Yes, put a lot of students in a room(s) with the Oil of The Holy Spirit, add heat (the teaching of the Grace of God); and at different times you hear a pop and another students understanding has matured. Jesus adds the salt and they are a delight to others.
We have 96 students, down about 12 students who could not afford it The students that are paying some and making an effort by helping clean and work around the school we have been able to meet their tuition thanks to everyone’s support. We have three making provisions to restart. The teaching (Word of God) has to cost something to have any value.

We have five classes morning and evening.

  • 1st year Full Time
  • 1st year Part Time
  • 2nd year
  • 3rd year
  • 2 - Apprentices; with their own classes, Mario and Sandy Belivitti, have been a blessing loving on the students and helping with classes answering questions and encouraging others.

FISHERS OF MEN: The students have been so blessed by the teachings; they are re-watching the teachings they have already received in open classroom times. The DVD instructors never get tired, we take them out of their package pop them into the DVD player and off they go - teaching any time: day or night. We are calling these “Theater” classes. We have scheduled set teachings at set times when regular classes are not in session. These Theater teachings also provide a great opportunity for out-reach to prospective students. Visitors can come watch a series twice a year and get excited. We already have some that will be students next year. Like some current CBC Extension Schools, we are planning on offering Open Enrollment. Open enrollment allows students to start any time throughout the year. Theater Classes will help us to facilitate student needs and to catch up with their class. There are also some students that can’t afford to come even part time (most of our students are part time). Open Enrollment will allow students to take a class at a time. We are setting this up like university classes so cost is more flexible.
Jesus told us he would make us fishers of men,and the Theater classes are the bait. We haven’t even promoted this outside the school yet,
we are already pulling in a great catch.

There is so much that can be done here and with additional help we can expand to meet the needs

3rd YEAR CLASS:Several weeks ago we started our 10 minute talks. This is where I have a list of subjects that they are not aware of and without warning I call a student up to give a 10 minute talk without any preparation. They have been calling this an ambush, but they have been doing so well and they are realizing that it is already in them. They are also seeing how much they have grown.

One student Grace had healing to teach on and taught on 2 Samuel 9:7 where Mephibosheth the grandson of King Saul, lame in both feet was continually at King David’s table, and how King David sought him out. This is what The Lord Jesus has done for us. He sought us out, the lame, in all ways. And how we are continually receiving what we need at the Lords table.

R & R:May 1st was the Ugandan Labor Day so with the school closed we were able to get away for some needed R&R. We went to a small Island on Lake Victoria; and have never seen as many stars before. That may sound impossible since we came from the mountains. The campfires on the small beach and the food were wonderful. With the trip over, the village, accommodations, spiders and the bats are stories for the journal and another time!

As always, Thank You for your support & Prayers,
Hank & Mary Lenz
